Discourses and Book Publishing

Discourses of distinguished learned persons, men of letters, social workers and leaders of society were organized on various subjects for postgraduate students. The professors took care that through the lectures the student might be acquainted with the contemporary political, social, literary, scientific and historical research.

Among the aims of Gujarat Vidhyasabha, the first was to get the books written for publication to enrich Gujarati language and literature. The second aim was to encourage Education and increase learning by accepting trust funds and doing its management. Then, the third aim was to increase Education and learning through various ways with regional language.

The wise office bearers of Vidhyasabha took care of getting the experts of various subjects to write and publish the books advocating moral base literature, history, science, sociology etc. looking into the multipurpose progress of Gujarati people. Gujarat Vihdyasabha had got the biographies of Vidyaben Nilkanth and Narsinhrav Divetiya written and then published them.

Thus, Gujarat Vidhyasabha had satisfied the need of contemporary educated society of Gujarat. Thus book publication was a very important activity of this Society.
